On Tuesday morning, Rogan shared the numerous demands Harris’s team has made to appear on the world’s biggest podcast.
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump appeared on the “Joe Rogan Experience” (JRE), racking up tens of millions of views in just three days.
Rogan has said that he offered both Harris and Trump the same invitation to appear on his show.
Trump agreed and sat down for a lengthy three-hour episode released late last week.
Rogan’s tens of millions of listeners and viewers are mostly younger men – a demographic where Harris has been struggling.
An interview on the podcast could be beneficial for Harris but the unscripted and straight-talking format of the show means it would most likely end in disaster for the Democrats.
Posting on X, Rogan said Harris’s camp demanded that the host travel to her to conduct the interview, despite the show always being recorded in the JRE studio in Austin, Texas.
He also revealed that Harris would only record for one hour.
“For the record, the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” Rogan posted.
“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour.”
“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” he followed up.
“My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being.
“I really hope we can make it happen.”
Notably, JRE episodes are rarely shorter than two hours.
They often last for up to three hours — the length of time Trump appeared on the podcast.
Rogan has also never recorded a show outside of his studio, something Harris’s team is also demanding.
On Trump’s record-setting JRE episode, the 45th president said he doesn’t believe Harris could cope with being on the podcast.
He said Harris would be unable to last for three hours in an unscripted setting.
“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show?” Trump posed to Rogan.
“If she did this kind of an interview with you — I hope she does because it would be a mess — she’d be laying on the floor comatose,” Trump joked.
“You’d be saying, ‘Call in the medics.’”
