Several Arab-American UFC stars are throwing their support behind President Donald Trump for the critical 2024 presidential election.
With under two weeks left until election day, UFC stars Justin Gaethje, Beneil Dariush, and Henry Cejudo are urging fellow Arab-American voters in Michigan to support Trump.
Michigan will likely be a key state on that path for a possible presidential election victory.
The UFC stars went to bat for Trump as he battles Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
The New York Post reported that the event was sponsored by Conservative Middle Eastern and took place in Detroit.
Dariush, an Assyrian Christian born in Iran, spoke to a crowd that was filled with Chaldeans.
Chaldeans are a Christian minority group that also felt the effects of the Islamic State and other explosive regional issues, according to the Post.
Dariush explained to the attendees he feels Trump is a different politician.
He noted that Trump should especially appeal to those voters who have dealt with issues related to the Middle East.
In a statement to the Post, Dariush said:
“For me, peace abroad, it’s probably like second to my own family at home.
“I want peace for my family.
“I want prosperity for my family at home.
“But to forget about those people?”
Ali Abdelaziz, who was credited with forging the opportunity for the fighters to speak at the event, also touted Trump’s Middle East policy.
“I think Donald Trump brought four years of peace,” he told the Post.
“Now you see the whole world has war: in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, now Iran.
“The whole world is going crazy because I don’t think the people respect the leadership of the United States right now.”
Gaethje described the final days of the presidential campaign as the “championship rounds.”
Cejudo told the crowd that he related to the experience of first-generation Americans.
As Slay News reported, Trump has been surging in the key swing state of Michigan as the critical November election draws near.
Trump’s surge is thanks to an unexpected level of support from the state’s large community of Arab Americans, who typically vote for Democrat candidates.
Former Trump administration official Michelle Moons wrote in an article for Breitbart News that she and other conservative entities are working to tap into an unrecognized group of conservative Arab Americans.
The voter group is now reportedly eager to support Trump over Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
Harris and the Democratic Party are losing the support of many Arab American voters.
The loss of support is due to the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the war between Israel and Hamas and the general chaos in the Middle East that has broken out over the past few years.
Under Trump, there was peace and a warming of relations between Israel and the Jewish state’s Arab neighbors.
However, under the Biden-Harris admin, things have the other way.
Arab American voters are demanding a president who has the answers for the chaos and war that has broken out.
They are either switching their support to Trump or planning to stay home in November to protest against the Democrats by not voting at all.
The Democrats’ loss of support especially increased after Kamala Harris insulted pro-Palestinian protestors at a rally in Michigan.
