Liberal Lawyers Push Plan for Democrats to Block Trump's Inauguration

Two liberal lawyers are calling on Democrats to take advantage of one last longshot opportunity to stop President Donald Trump from taking office.

In an op-ed for The Hill, attorneys Evan Davis and David Schulte claim that “insurrectionist” Trump is disqualified from serving as president again.

Without a trace of irony, the lawyers are demanding that Democrats delegitimize Trump’s victory when Congress meets to certify the election results on January 6th, 2025.

The scheme is based on the 1887 Electoral Count Act.

This is the same law that was amended after the January 6, 2021, protest.

It was amended to clarify that the vice president’s role in certifying the results is only ceremonial.

Under the Act, Congress can object to electoral votes if 20% of each chamber signs a petition, the lawyers wrote for The Hill.

In their op-ed, the lawyers wrote:

“If the objection is sustained by majority vote in each house, the vote is not counted and the number of votes required to be elected is reduced by the number of disqualified votes.

“If all votes for Trump were not counted, Kamala Harris would be elected president.”

The lawyers echo an argument that was previously made by anti-Trump Democrat Rep. Jamie Raksin (D-MD).

Raskin touted a similar claim at the height of the Democrats’ failed anti-Trump lawfare campaign.

At the time, Raskin suggested that Congress would have to delegitimize a Trump victory if the Supreme Court refused to block him from the ballot.

The justices ultimately ruled unanimously against an effort by Colorado to enforce the so-called “insurrection ban” in the 14th Amendment.

“They want to kick it to Congress, so it’s going to be up to us on Jan. 6, 2025, to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he’s disqualified, and then we need bodyguards for everybody and civil war conditions,” Raskin said at the time.

Raskin’s trash talk has been quieted by Trump’s resounding victory, however.

Trump’s historic win has left Democrats broken and demoralized.

Compared to his shocking 2016 victory, which was met with a protest movement, riots, and objections in Congress, Trump’s epic comeback has resulted in little resistance so far.

Just a handful of “election deniers” who refuse to face reality have publicly objected to Trump’s win.

If Democrats want to start winning again, attempting to block Trump from office after he won the popular vote is surely a bad way to go about it.

Democrats must accept that voters rejected them.

There are no magic words they can say to make Trump – and the people who support him – disappear.

Rand Paul Releases Annual 'Festivus Report' Exposing $1 Trillion in Government Waste

Republican Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is continuing his Christmas tradition of exposing the federal government’s wasteful taxpayer money spending.

The Republican’s annual “Festivus Report” tallied up $1 trillion in spending on questionable projects across the federal government.

The wasteful spending comes as America’s national debt continues soaring ever higher.

The report is named after a fictional holiday in the sitcom “Seinfeld” that invites celebrants to an “airing of grievances.”

The government’s spending habits leave Paul, a fiscal conservative, with plenty to grump about each year.

This year, hard-working American taxpayers spent nearly $5 million on pro-Ukrainian social media influencers.

They also splashed out $12 million on a pickleball court in Las Vegas.

$10,000 in tax dollars was blown on a climate change-themed “cabaret” involving drag queens in ice skates.

The government spent another $10 billion to maintain mostly empty office buildings.

Meanwhile, taxpayers shoveled $330,000 into a liberal anti-free speech non-profit that tracks “disinformation,” among other dubious expenditures.

Throughout his single term in office, President Joe Biden signed several expensive spending bills.

Those bills added trillions to the national debt and drove inflation.

Biden also worked around courts to forgive $180 billion in student loan debt, at taxpayer expense.

In addition, billions of dollars in taxpayer money were funneled to Ukraine to keep the war with Russia ongoing.

Yet, as billions were spent on perpetuating a foreign war, a historic influx of illegal aliens poured across the open U.S. southern border.

However, wasteful spending is a bipartisan tradition, as Paul noted in his report.

“Who’s to blame for our crushing national debt? Everybody,” Paul writes in the new report.

“This year, members of both political parties in Congress voted for massive spending bills, filled with subsidies for underperforming industries, continued military aid to Ukraine, and controversial climate initiatives.

“As Congress spends to reward its favored pet projects, the American taxpayers are forced to pay through high prices and crippling interest rates.”

Government waste has become a hot topic as President Donald Trump prepares for a second White House term.

Trump has promised to radically cut bloat and reduce the national debt.

His Department on Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has set an ambitious target of slashing $2 trillion in spending.

The majority of federal spending goes toward the military and spending on entitlement programs like Social Security, which few politicians are willing to touch.

Paul was among 20 Republican senators who voted against a $200 billion bill to boost Social Security benefits last week.

He called to offset the expense by raising the retirement age to 70, but his amendment was shot down.

“If we give new people more money, we have to take it from somewhere,” Paul said.

“We have to either borrow it or print it, but it has to come from somewhere.”

Trump to Defund World Health Organization on Day One

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to cut U.S. funding for the globalist World Health Organization (WHO) on the first day of his presidency when he’s sworn into power next month.

Trump’s transition team hopes to pull the country out of the WHO and defund the United Nations “health” agency as one of his first tasks under the new administration.

The move would cut one of the WHO’s major cash flows, the Financial Times (FT) has reported, citing health experts.

According to the report, members of Trump’s team told the experts that they intend to announce a withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party-linked global “health” body on inauguration day, January 20.

Some in the team reportedly want the U.S. to stay in the WHO but push to reform it.

However, another group, which hopes to cut ties, is reportedly winning the argument.

The transition team wants Trump to withdraw from the WHO on the first day because of the “symbolism” of reversing President Joe Biden’s inauguration-day move, FT wrote.

The outlet cited Ashish Jha, Biden’s former White House Covid response coordinator.

On January 20, 2021, Biden restarted relations with the UN body.

It came after his then-predecessor Trump initiated a withdrawal process in line with his criticism of the WHO’s handling of the pandemic in 2020.

Lawrence Gostin, professor of global health at Georgetown Law, told FT:

“America is going to leave a huge vacuum in global health financing and leadership.

“I see no one that is going to fill the breach.”

The plan to withdraw “on Day One” would be “catastrophic”, he added.

The WHO is a UN body that acts as a coordinating authority on international health issues.

The agency gets its funding from dues-paying member states as well as voluntary contributions.

The U.S. has been one of the China-centric organization’s largest donors for decades.

According to WHO’s data, America is currently the second-largest contributor among its member states.

In 2020, Trump accused the WHO of being under China’s control amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The president claimed that Beijing had pressured the organization to “mislead the world” about the virus and pledged to direct U.S. funds to other global public health charities instead.

Under a 1948 Congressional resolution, the U.S. can withdraw from the WHO but must give a year’s notice and should pay outstanding fees.

The Trump team, however, did not comment directly on the potential withdrawal, noted FT.

In November, Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy to become the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

RFK Jr. was among the vocal critics of the WHO-recommended Covid response measures imposed by governments around the world.

The WHO pushed for strict lockdowns and the introduction of experimental mRNA “vaccines” for public use.

Kennedy’s nomination has yet to be approved by the Senate.

Bill Gates Pumps $40 Million into Plans to Test mRNA 'Vaccines' on Africans

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is expanding his plans to test mRNA “vaccines” on the people of Africa.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has  announced a $40 million initiative to support the production of messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines in Africa.

The globalist organization claims this investment aims to address “vaccine inequities” exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the pandemic, African nations were often the last to receive “vaccines.”

However, Gates and his foundation hope to expand the testing of the “vaccines” on  Africans before they are rolled out globally.

The funding will aid several manufacturers, including Senegal’s Institut Pasteur, in developing mRNA “vaccines” for both local and global diseases.

Although the first injections may not be approved for at least three years, Bill Gates emphasized the potential of mRNA technology to combat diseases like Rift Valley fever and tuberculosis while building Africa’s capacity for vaccine development.

However, several critical factors were not addressed in the recent Institute Pasteur news release.

Assuming the “vaccines” bring quality efficacy and safety, given they are years from approval, will this investment address urgent health challenges, or is it too focused on long-term goals?

Beyond initial funding, how will African facilities ensure long-term financial and operational viability?

Will this initiative truly prioritize African needs, or could it become another example of external influence shaping local health priorities?

It raises questions about the African experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why are public health authorities not raising the quandary that generally sub-Saharan populations fared better than European, American, and Asian populations during the pandemic?

This is despite the fact that vaccination rates were quite low.

The present mRNA vaccines or COVID-19 continue to exhibit severe safety issues.

However, the risks associated with these injections are not fully recognized by public health authorities.

The shots have been proven to be ineffective at stopping transmission and linked to the mutation of the virus.

The announcement highlights the Gates Foundation’s role as a benefactor, potentially overshadowing African-led efforts and raising questions about the balance of power in global health initiatives.

However, the heavy emphasis on mRNA technology might neglect other healthcare strategies that could be more immediately impactful for African diseases.

This initiative, while framed as a promising step toward addressing vaccine disparities, on the other hand, raises critical questions.

Over time, financing structures that don’t embrace local autonomy and African priorities first and foremost will likely not be sustained in today’s economic and socio-political climate.

Judge Blasts Jay-Z over 'Relentless' Plot to Publicly Expose Identity of Child Rape Accuser

Jay-Z provoked outrage from a judge after the court heard of a plot by the billionaire rapper to expose the identity of a woman who accuses him of raping her as a child.

The music mogul, whose real name is Shawn Carter, faced a scathing rebuke for “wasting court resources.”

It comes amid Carter’s fight against a woman who accused him of raping her when she was 13.

Carter has made several attempts through his lawyer Alex Spiro to quash the case or force the woman to be publicly identified.

The famous rap star has also been accused of trying to intimidate those who made allegations against him and disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

On Thursday, Judge Analisa Torres sided with his accuser, granting the woman anonymity for the next stage of proceedings.

The judge also blasted Spiro in the process.

The woman, referred to only as Jane Doe, alleges Carter, along with Combs, drugged and raped her when she was 13 at an after-party for the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.

Carter has vehemently denied the claims, calling them baseless.

In a five-page filing released on Thursday, Judge Torres condemned Spiro’s aggressive legal maneuvers.

She described them as “combative” and filled with “inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks.”

The judge accused Carter’s attorney of attempting to “fast-track the judicial process” by repeatedly filing motions to reveal the identity of Jane Doe and dismiss the case.

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client,” Torres stated firmly.

“The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it.”

According to the lawsuit, the alleged incident occurred after the accuser, then a teenager trying to get into the awards show at Radio City Music Hall, was invited to an after-party by a man claiming to be Combs’s limo driver.

The disturbing suit alleges how upon arriving at the party, the woman was coerced into signing a nondisclosure agreement, served a drink laced with drugs, and subsequently assaulted by Carter and Combs as a “female celebrity” looked on.

In his denial, Carter has accused both the accuser and her attorney, Tony Buzbee, of fabricating a “false statement.”

In a crucial win for the plaintiff, the judge ruled that Jane Doe’s anonymity would be preserved for the time being.

Judge Torres emphasized that “the weight of the factors tips in favor of allowing Plaintiff to remain anonymous, at least for this stage of the litigation.”

Buzbee’s lawsuit against Jay-Z is part of a series of civil cases he has filed against Combs, 55, who remains jailed in New York as he awaits trial on federal charges that he coerced and abused women for years.

Jay-Z claims the lawsuit against him is part of an extortion attempt.

Buzbee is a well-known name in Texas courtrooms who has won billions of dollars in settlements for his clients.

The lawyer has said his firm is representing more than 150 people, both men and women, who allege sexual abuse and exploitation at the hands of Combs.

Buzbee’s firm, which has set up a 1-800 number for accusers, is representing more than 100 alleged Diddy victims.

He has filed a wave of suits against hip-hop mogul Combs.

Buzbee’s lawsuits allege that many of the people he represents were abused at parties in New York, California, and Florida where individuals were given drinks that were laced with drugs.

Combs’s lawyers have dismissed Buzbee’s lawsuits as “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them.”

In the Jay-Z lawsuit, the Texas-based attorney claimed the rapper has “tried to bully and harass” him and his client over the incident said to have happened at a 2000 VMAs afterparty.

However, this has backfired by “emboldening” them to take the case to court.

“Regarding the Jay-Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm,” Buzbee said in a statement.

“He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym.

“What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him.

“Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation.

“Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff.

“His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened.

“I’m very proud of her resolve,” Buzbee said of the accuser.

“As far as the allegations in the complaint filed, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.”

Buzbee also told The New York Times in an email that he followed proper “legal practice” in “sending a basic litigation demand letter” to Jay-Z and his camp.

The lawyer said he sought to get a “confidential sit down” with the rapper to protect his client’s identity.

“We won’t get bogged down in a silly sideshow that tries to make the lawyers the focus of what are very serious allegations brought by a courageous woman,” Buzbee told the paper.

Meanwhile, Combs, currently held without bail on federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, has also denied the allegations brought forward in this case.

The Bad Boy Entertainment founder’s trial is scheduled for May 2025.

Jay-Z and Combs both gained fame in the 2000s.

They emerged as wide-ranging entrepreneurs and two of the world’s wealthiest rappers.

Earlier this year, Forbes estimated Jay-Z’s net worth to be $2.5 billion.

The artists have collaborated over the years, with Jay-Z featured on Combs’ debut album, “No Way Out.”

Combs also appeared on Jay-Z’s sophomore album, “In My Lifetime, Vol. 1.”

Scientists Develop New Method to Detect 'Nanorobots' in Covid-Vaxxed

Scientists have revealed that they have developed a new novel detection method for the nanotechnology in Covid mRNA “vaccines.”

The development was revealed in a study recently posted on social media by BeyondBio CEO John Catanzaro and American cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough.

The study details research into a novel detection method for nanotechnology within the Covid injections.

In the “Conclusion” section of the study’s paper, the researchers write:

“In summary, we have demonstrated simple and efficient plasmonic-magnetic nanorobot-based SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection assay.”

The researchers began by explaining how the novel pandemic led to exotic technology injections.

In the “Abstract” section, they explain:

“The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has prompted an urgent demand for nanotechnological solutions towards the global healthcare crisis, particularly in the field of diagnostics, vaccines, and therapeutics.

“As an emerging tool for nanoscience and technology, micro/nanorobots have demonstrated advanced performances, such as self-propelling, precise maneuverability, and remote actuation, thus hold great potential to provide breakthroughs in the COVID-19 pandemic.”

They then went into their detection method for this exotic technology.

“Here we show a plasmonic-magnetic nanorobot-based simple and efficient COVID-19 detection assay through an electronic readout signal,” the researchers write.

“The nanorobots consist of Fe3O4 [iron oxide] backbone and the outer surface of Ag [silver], that rationally designed to perform magnetic-powered propulsion and navigation, concomitantly the probe nucleic acids transport and release upon the hybridization which can be quantified with the differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique.”

Nanorobots, also called nanobots (a form of nanotechnology) are defined by the researchers.

In the “Introduction” section, they explain:

“Micro/nanorobots are small-scale artificial machines that are rationally designed to perform predefined tasks by converting various energies into mechanical motion and various chemical triggers to perform the designed action.

“In particular, micro/nanorobots have been exploited to enhance the analytical performance in biosensing applications.”

The researchers detailed the atomic-level mechanisms that the Covid “vaccine” nanotechnology uses to self-assemble.

They documented which metals are used by the technology, how they bind together, and for what purpose.

Another recent study also documents the phenomenon of this nanotechnology.

In the “Introduction” section of the study’s paper, the researchers write:

“Here, we present a simple and efficient COVID-19 detection assay with plasmonic-magnetic nanorobots through an electronic readout platform (see Scheme 1).

“As a nanoscale building block of nanorobots, the Fe3O4/Au/Ag nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a sequential chemical reduction method.

“Firstly, under 10 nm Au seeds were formed on the Fe3O4 NPs, which facilitates nucleation and growth of high-density Ag particles, leading to the hierarchically structured Fe3O4/Au/Ag NPs.

“The nanorobots were readily fabricated by assembling Fe3O4/Au/Ag NPs into rod-shaped microaggregates, which enables controllable propulsion and navigation under the rotating magnetic field.

“Also, the Ag surface of nanorobots provides the probe DNAs tagging and releasing site depends on hybridization reaction.

“The magnetic actuation of probe DNA-tagged nanorobots led to promoted target binding reaction with their complementary nucleic acids.”

Based on the nature of the nanotechnology, the researchers were able to demonstrate a pathway for detecting it.

They explain that they use electromagnetic systems.

“The resulting hybridized duplex can be released from the nanorobots due to the change of electrostatic properties,” the researchers write.

“Thus, the quantifying remnant probe DNAs by electrochemical signal confirms the detection of target nucleic acids.

“Exploiting these versatile concepts, we demonstrated magnetically actuated nanorobot-based detection of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) RNA.

“Experimental results verified the nanorobot swarming enhanced sensing efficiency, with nanomolar detection limit and high selectivity.

“Further, the clinical applicability of the proposed assay was validated using extracted SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA samples.”

Furthermore, the researchers stated that the detection method they developed could be utilized for various other areas of research.

In the “Conclusion” section of their paper, the researchers note:

“This strategy is versatile to extend targeting various nucleic acids, thus it could be a promising detection tool for other emerging infectious diseases, environmental toxins, and forensic analytes.”

Canadian Farm Producing Insects for 'Human Consumption' Lays Off Two-Thirds of Employees

A Canadian farm producing insects for the nation’s human food supply has been forced to slash its workforce due to low demand for its products.

The cricket farm in London, Ontario, run by the Aspire Food Group, is struggling financially, despite receiving $8.5 million in taxpayer cash from the Liberal Canadian government.

The workforce reduction at the facility appears to be a sign that Canadians do not have an appetite for bugs.

It appears Canadians’ taste for eating “food” made from bugs is not in high demand.

After receiving millions in tax dollars from the federal government to raise crickets for “human and pet consumption,” the company has now laid off two-thirds of its staff.

The news comes after the cricket farm broke ground on a new 150,000-square-foot facility last year.

The company said it was cutting shifts and going from 150 workers to just 50.

In comments made to the trade news outlet AgFunderNews, Aspire Food CEO David Rosenberg said the facility’s layoffs are due to “improvements to its manufacturing system.”

The fact that the company is already cutting costs dramatically comes only a short time after Canada’s federal government, under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, contributed $8.5 million to it in 2022.

When fully operational, the farm can produce 13 million kilograms of crickets for “human and pet consumption.”

It was given widespread coverage several years ago by Canada’s state-funded CBC.

The outlet billed the farm as the “world’s largest cricket production facility.”

Aspire’s pitch that its “food” had a lower environmental footprint than protein from cattle or pigs was in lockstep with the globalist green agenda goals of the Trudeau government.

This green agenda pitch is one of the reasons the company landed a large taxpayer-funded grant.

According to AgFunderNews, only a year ago Aspire claimed its factory would be working at 100 percent by the start of 2024.

“We have significant contractual commitments for the majority of our production and expect 100% will be sold within the year,” former CEO Mohammed Ashour told AgFunderNews in March 2023.

Groups such as the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) blasted the federal government for subsidizing companies that make “food” out of insects for human consumption.

CTF says it amounts to giving Canadians “their ‘let them eat crickets’ moment.”

In recent years, both crickets and mealworms have been promoted by globalist elites as a source of protein to be fed to the general public.

The plan is heavily pushed by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Notably, PM Trudeau and many of his cabinet members are WEF “Young Global Leaders.”

The WEF is pushing for traditional meat to be replaced with insect-based “foods.”

A key component of the “Great Reset” agenda of the WEF and its founder Klaus Schwab is ensuring the public eats bugs instead of beef, pork, and other meats that they say have a high “carbon footprint.”

Meanwhile, Canada’s opposition Conservative Party responded to the news regarding Aspire cutting most of its staff by arguing that it is proof Canadians “will not eat bugs.”

“Justin Trudeau bet $9 million of your money on edible BUGS!” the party said in a statement.

“He wants Canadians to own nothing, be happy, and eat crickets.

“But his bet failed,” the statement continues.

“The company he invested YOUR tax dollars in has dramatically cut production and fired two-thirds of their staff.

“Turns out, Canadians don’t want to eat bugs.”

The globalist Trudeau government has implemented many policies that align with the WEF’s so-called “climate change” agenda.

They include a punishing carbon tax and attacks on the nation’s oil and gas industries.

Since 2018, a total of $420,023 has been spent on helping multiple food companies that make bug “food” for humans, according to records.

At the same time, the Trudeau government has begun to attack Canadian farmers by pushing an agenda that would force them to reduce the amount of nitrogen-based fertilizer.

This could have a large negative impact on the growing of feed for cattle as well as food for human consumption.

Aspire is not the only factory in Canada breeding bugs to turn them into food for both human and animal consumption.

The CTF listed all of the cricket processing companies that receive corporate welfare.

In 2022, Dr. Joseph Mercola documented how Schwab’s “Great Reset” agenda looks to force the world’s population to stop consuming meat and other traditionally farmed fresh produce.

Mercola warns that the WEF is pressuring local governments to make people “consider eating bugs and weeds and drink ‘reclaimed’ sewage.”

And,

EV Owners Have Larger 'Carbon Footprint' Than Regular Car Drivers, Study Finds

A major new study has dealt a blow to virtue-signaling “eco-warriors” by confirming that electric vehicle (EV) owners have a higher “carbon footprint” than those who drive regular gas-powered cars.

Electric cars have become the ultimate status symbol for “woke” celebrities and those claiming to be “saving the planet” from “climate change.”

However, scientists now say that buying an expensive electric vehicle (EV) is actually doing more harm to the environment than helping it.

Researchers from the University of Turku, Finland, found that on average EV drivers have a larger “carbon footprint” than drivers who own gas or diesel cars.

For their paper, published in the journal PLOS Climate, Nils Sandman, Elisa Sahari, and Aki Koponen analyzed questionnaires sent to thousands of random adults in Finland regarding lifestyle choices, car use, environmental opinions and how they felt about EVs.

While their cars may produce lower emissions, the researchers say that EV owners’ more ostentatious lifestyles mean they contribute more to “global warming” overall.

The average EV owner churns out half a ton more CO2 per year, with owners of high-performance electric vehicles producing almost two tonnes more pollution.

Electric vehicles might be the ultimate status symbol for Hollywood’s eco-minded elite but a new study shows that EV owners actually have a bigger ‘carbon footprint’

The researchers surveyed almost 4,000 Finnish people about their car ownership, background, and lifestyle.

The participants also provided answers about their housing, transport, and purchasing habits which scientists used to estimate their “carbon footprint.”

Overall, someone who owned an internal combustion engine vehicle (ICEV) which runs on gas or diesel created 8.05 tons of CO2 or equivalent greenhouse gases per year.

Considering that environmental concerns are a major reason for purchasing an electric vehicle you might expect EV owners’ emissions to be lower.

However, the average EV driver actually has a slightly larger “carbon footprint” than those who opt for cars powered by fossil fuels, producing 8.66 tonnes of emissions per year.

The researchers also noticed that there was a big difference between the two types of EV owners.

EV owners who said they were most concerned with the economy and reliability of their cars produced much less pollution – contributing just 7.59 tonnes per year.

Owners who said they were more concerned about their car’s performance on the other hand were significantly more polluting than any other group.

On average, performance-minded EV owners create 10.25 tonnes of polluting gases every year.

That gives some EV owners a “carbon footprint” nearly double that of those who don’t own cars.

People without cars produce just 5.75 tonnes per year, the study found.

This, the researchers note, is because wealthier people in general have a larger “carbon footprint.”

By using an EV, they use more electricity, which is most often produced at a coal-burning plant.

They also consume more goods, the production of which tends to release “greenhouse gases.”

EV owners typically drive more and travel more.

Ultimately, the researchers found that the use of an EV did not overcome an overall larger “carbon footprint.”

In fact, EV drivers cause more harm to the environment overall, the study concludes.
