Pop superstar Beyonce may be about to watch
her career take a severe nosedive as her links to disgraced rap mogul Sean
“Diddy” Combs and allegations of child rape against her husband Jay-Z emerge.
The 43-year-old singer, one
of several Diddy-linked celebrities who aggressively endorsed Kamala
Harris in the 2024 election, has planned a massive world tour for 2025.
Beyonce is also set to perform at the NFL
Christmas Day game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.
However, her upcoming shows are now hanging in
the balance as shocking allegations continue to surface.
As Slay News previously reported,
Beyonce’s billionaire rapper husband Jay-Z has been accused of raping a child
alongside Combs.
The rapper was accused of raping a 13-year-old
in a civil lawsuit filed Sunday.
Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, is
accused of sexually assaulting the young teen with Diddy at a party after the
2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
According to the lawsuit, Jay-Z and Diddy
violently raped the child in a bedroom at the party.
The victim alleges that a “female celebrity”
was also in the room during the brutal attack.
The female’s name is withheld in the
documents, however, and she’s referred to only as “Celebrity B”
Beyonce’s long-term relationship with Diddy
had already raised concerns but the new allegations against Jay-Z have now cast
real doubt on her future plans.
“Bey and Jay are one of the most dominant
power couples on the globe so even though the claim has nothing to do with her,
her name had already been dragged into online speculation,” a source reportedly
told The Sun.
“The plan was for Beyonce to perform a new
song during her Christmas Day halftime show before kicking off a new era,” the
insider added.
“Beyonce has Act III of her three-act album
saga to announce as well as a huge stadium tour.”
Her Christmas Day half-time performance at NRG
Stadium in
The singer has not publicly confirmed a tour yet.
However, she had several dates for the tour
already planned, with multiple locations around the world in the works as well,
according to The Sun.
Beyonce’s upcoming tour is set to promote her
latest album, “Cowboy Carter.”
The latest news about the superstar’s future
music plans comes after Jay-Z filed to dismiss the civil lawsuit against
him.
The rapper was accused of committing the
alleged child rape alongside Combs in the civil lawsuit filed Sunday.
It’s unclear whether more allegations could
also soon emerge.
In new motions filed in federal court in
Alternatively, Jay-Z’s lawyers are demanding
that the accuser, known only as Jane Doe, be publicly named and shamed.
However, if the name of the accuser is made
public, many fear that it would prevent other potential victims from coming
forward.
A memorandum accompanying the filed motion
from Jay-Z’s Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan attorney Alex Spiro:
“Defendant is respectfully seeking either
dismissal of the allegations or disclosure of the Plaintiff’s identity. Fair is
fair.”
The memo continues:
“Mr. Carter deserves to know the identity of
the person who is effectively accusing him – in sensationalized,
publicity-hunting fashion—of criminal conduct, demanding massive financial
compensation, and tarnishing a reputation earned over decades.”
The motion also accused the alleged victim of
“hid[ing] in complete darkness while leveling allegations” against the rapper.
In addition, the memo takes aim at the
plaintiff’s attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents several of Diddy’s victims.
“This Court has recognized the nearly
identical claims brought by other Plaintiffs represented by Attorney Buzbee do
not meet the criteria to proceed anonymously,” it continues.
“Here, the balance of the equities afford all
the more reason why this Plaintiff should be proceeding under her true name if
she wishes to proceed at all.”
Attorneys for Carter also described Buzbee as
having “devoted himself to the business of extracting large settlements from a
multitude of celebrities, high net worth individuals, and businesses with any
public ties to Sean Combs.”
Furthermore, the motion claims Buzbee has “a
history of targeting celebrities by making false allegations of misconduct.”
It also alleges that the case against Carter
“is about retaliating against the rare target who would not pay.”
The memo offers no evidence to support the claims against Buzbee, however.
