The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a new operation to investigate a deadly “mystery illness” emerging in Africa that the United Nations (UN) agency is calling “Disease X.”
“Disease X” is a new killer virus that has left doctors and scientists baffled.
The illness has already claimed 143 lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.
In its latest report, the WHO described the flu-like symptoms of “Disease X,” stating:
“Panzi health zone in Kwango Province of Democratic Republic of the Congo recorded 406 cases of an undiagnosed disease with symptoms of fever, headache, cough, runny nose, and body ache.”
Malaria, which is common in the region, is being considered as a potential contributing factor.
However, the WHO has noted that “more than one disease” might be responsible for the outbreak.
In an update on Disease X, the WHO said the illness has been spreading in the southwest part of the Central African country.
“Rapid response teams have been deployed to identify the cause of the outbreak and strengthen the response,” the WHO wrote in the disease outbreak report.
“The teams are collecting samples for laboratory testing, providing a more detailed clinical characterization of the detected cases, investigating the transmission dynamics, and actively searching for additional cases, both within health facilities and at the community level.”
“Malaria is a common disease in this area, and it may be causing or contributing to the cases,” the WHO report adds.
“Laboratory tests are underway to determine the exact cause.
“At this stage, it is also possible that more than one disease is contributing to the cases and deaths.”
The outbreak comes after the WHO, UN, World Economic Forum (WEF), Bill Gates, and others have been warning that “Disease X” will trigger the “next pandemic.”
According to Bloomberg data, the total number of headlines in corporate media featuring “Disease X” last week topped 69.
This was the highest since February when it was about 127.
The cause of Disease X remains unknown at this time.
However, it comes just as President Donald Trump is set to re-enter the White House next month.
Alarmingly, the news has emerged after a leading pharmaceutical industry vaccine scientist issued a chilling “prediction” about the “next pandemic” just last week.
As Slay News reported, Dr. Peter Hotez ominously sent the warning to Trump and the American people.
Hotez, who served as a Covid mRNA “vaccine” shill during and after the pandemic, made the suspiciously specific prediction during an appearance on MSNBC last Wednesday.
According to Hotez, new pandemics will be “starting on January 21st” – the day after Trump’s inauguration.
He continued by gloating that multiple deadly virus outbreaks will “come crashing down on the Trump administration” as soon as he’s sworn back into office.
“We have some big-picture stuff coming down the pike starting on January 21st,” Hotez told MSNBC.
Hotez then listed several viruses and pathogens that are on the radar of public health institutions.
He claims that bird flu, “new coronaviruses,” SARS, “mosquito-transmitted viruses” like dengue, Zika, Oropouche virus, and yellow fever, as well as whooping cough, measles, and polio, could all erupt in new pandemics when Trump is sworn into power.
“All that is going to come crashing down on January 21 on the Trump administration,” Hotez claimed.
“We need a really, really good team to be able to handle this.”

The comments from Hotez have been quickly gaining attention on social media.
While his “warning” was framed as a prediction, the specificity in his remarks sounded more like a threat.
Meanwhile, thousands of doctors, scientists, and academics have signed a petition demanding a ban on the Covid mRNA “vaccines” supposedly introduced to tackle the last virus outbreak.
As Slay News reported, the groundbreaking petition calls on governments around the world to issue an immediate ban on Covid mRNA “vaccines” due to an “alarming rise in disability and excess deaths” among those who received the injections.
The petition, known as the HOPE Accord, is signed by some of the world’s leading medical experts.
