Popular beauty influencer Farah El Kadhi has tragically died suddenly after suffering an unexpected “heart attack,” according to a report.
The Tunisian-born social media star was just 36 years old when she collapsed on board a yacht during a vacation in Malta.
She was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital in the harbor town of Msida, on the eastern side of the island.
Kadhi reportedly died on June 17 but her death was only announced Thursday.
Hours before her death, she had been posting photos of herself on board the boat which was docked in a marina.
Kadhi, a trained architect, has amassed a large following on social media for her health, beauty, and fitness posts.
She was considered to be a peak physical condition when she suddenly died.
Local media reports say she had no signs of injuries and had arrived in the country for a one-week vacation.
An autopsy will be carried out and a magisterial inquiry has been opened to confirm the cause of death.
Fellow Tunisian influencer Soulayma Hneynia, who lives in Malta and took part in the first series of the reality TV show “Love Island Malta,” was among those who raised the alarm when she was unable to reach her friend.
She said Kadhi was a “truly wonderful person, known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth.”
“Her positive spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her,” she added.
Kadhi, who worked as an architect for Key Concept, was one of Tunisia’s most popular social media influencers.
She used her platform to promote her fashion brand Bazarbyfaf and other paid promotions to her 1.1 million Instagram followers.
Tributes poured in from fans on her Instagram page.
Fellow influencer Laurie Marquet wrote: “I can’t believe it.
“I’m in shock, we’ll miss you babe.
“I will never forget you. RIP my darling.”
One of her colleagues, Taher Toumi, an architect and interior designer, paid tribute to her on Instagram.
He wrote: “It’s true I only know you via Instagram but the pain has been deep since your departure!
“You exuded energy full of joy and life!
“You lived this life as it should be and you kept a trace of love towards the people who know you and those who don’t know you!
“For two days we have been looking at your photos, your videos and we are immersed in deep pain!”
One of her fans said without her, “nothing will be the same.”
Someone else remembered meeting the Instagram star and shared their memories of her.
They wrote: “I met her once on the plane, she was very friendly, especially I jokingly remarked to her that she was small, yet in her videos she seemed tall.”
