A major new regional population study has identified a direct correlation between Covid vaccination rates and rising all-cause deaths.
The study was conducted by a group of Italian researchers who critically assessed all-cause deaths during the COVID-19 vaccination.
In the study’s paper, published in the MDPI medical journal, the researchers detail their disturbing findings.
The study determined that COVID-19 deaths were not reduced with the mass countermeasure deployment.
In addition, they found that all-cause deaths soared consistently in sync with increasing rates of Covid vaccination.
The researchers, led by Professor Marco Alessandria of the University of Turin’s Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology, analyzed official government data from the Italian national health system.
They segmented and studied the data derived from people living in Pescara on the central-eastern coast from January 1, 2021.
Those included in the segment were aged 10 years and older, without a positive SARS-CoV-2 swab at follow-up start.
Vaccination data were acquired from the official regional SARS-CoV-2 vaccination dataset, up to December 31, 2022.
The follow-up considered ranges between January 1, 2021, and February 15, 2023.
In their abstract, Prof. Alessandria and his team cite a type of distortion that can occur in observational studies when information from a future event is used in the analysis at baseline known as the immortal time bias or “ITB.”
This bias can occur when the exposure or treatment status of a subject can’t be determined until after the start of the follow-up period.
For example, if participants are assigned to groups based on information gathered after they enter the study, or if treatment begins after the follow-up period starts, ITB may impact the study.
The authors note in this paper in MDPI Microorganisms that the bias distorts the association estimates between the treated and untreated.
The study sought “to verify the real impact of the vaccination campaign by comparing the risk of all-cause death between the vaccinated population and the unvaccinated population.”
Tapping into an Italian study on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness along with a large cohort, a long follow-up, study adjusting for confounding factors and affected by ITB, aligned all subjects on a single index date and considered the “all-cause deaths” outcome to compare the survival distributions of the unvaccinated group versus various vaccination statuses.
Findings
Conducting univariate analysis for vaccinated people with 1, 2, and 3/4 dose versus unvaccinated people, the authors generated the following all-cause hazard ratios:

Note that if the hazard ratio is >1, this suggests that the treatment group actually has a shorter survival than the control referenced group, and if it is <1, it indicates that the group of interest is less likely to have a shorter time to the event than the reference group.
The ratio does not quantify the magnitude of the difference, as explained in Science Direct.
They suggest potential reasons for the trend observed involving the hazard ratios as vaccinations increase.
This could result from “a harvesting effect; a calendar-time bias, accounting for seasonality and pandemic waves; a case-counting window bias; a healthy-vaccine bias; or some combination of these factors.
“With 2 and even with 3/4 doses, the calculated Restricted Mean Survival Time and Restricted Mean Time Lost have shown a small but significant downside for the vaccinated populations.”
The study comes amid growing concerns about the long-term impact of the Covid mRNA shots.
