Elise Stefanik: 'People Have Died' Because of Kamala Harris' 'Open Border Czar' Role

Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has blasted Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris over her failings as vice president.

During an interview on the Fox News show “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Stefanik noted that “people have died” because of the VP’s role as the Biden-Harris administration’s “open border czar.”

Stefanik, the fourth-ranking House Republican, blamed Vice President Harris’s failures as border czar for deaths tied to failed immigration policy.

According to Stefanik, the Republican Conference Committee chair, Harris’s unofficial appointment as border czar assigned her culpability.

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the most radical Democrat ticket in our nation’s history,” Stefanik told host Mark Levin.

“Look at their record, look at the record of Kamala Harris.

“She is Joe Biden’s open border czar.

“She owns this catastrophic failure of wide open borders prioritizing illegals and criminals over law-abiding Americans.

“People have died in this country, Mark, because of Kamala Harris’ role as Joe Biden’s open border czar.

“If you look at both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, they support defunding the police.”

“We saw that when Tim Walz served as governor in Minnesota we’ve seen that when Kamala Harris actually raised money to bail out criminals and has stood for defunding the police,” Stefanik continued.

“On top of that, this inflation crisis across the country, the deciding vote in the U.S. Senate was Kamala Harris while she was vice president for Joe Biden’s Inflation Expansion Act.

“It’s the most radical, most socialist Democrat ticket and that is why it’s so incredibly important all Americans unify and elect President Donald Trump who will save this country.”

Meanwhile, Harris is still continuing to dodge the press since launching her presidential campaign.

Harris has not held one press conference since joining the presidential race 50 days ago.

It underscores her “hiding in the basement” campaign strategy of keeping her policies ambiguous and perhaps flexible.

Critics say Harris’s “basement” strategy raises concerns that she is an empty political shell with intentions to do or say whatever is needed to get elected.

However, the Harris campaign argues that voters do not care about policy.

Speaking to CNBC Monday on “Squawk Box,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said:

“I don’t think the American public are really interested in the minutiae of the mechanism of how she will increase taxes.”

Harris’s proposed economic solutions to the Biden-Harris administration’s economy reportedly include Soviet-style price controls, a tax on unrealized capital gains, an expanded death tax, and a raised income tax.

Tom Moulton of SleepNet Corporation in Hampton, New Hampshire, warns:

“It will be the beginning of the end for America if Kamala wins.”

“Our country cannot and will not be able to withstand a Kamala Harris presidency and the progressive Democratic agenda.

“Our way of life as we know it will be over.”
